Achieve splinterfree cuts on both sides of the blade by using the off-cut side splinterguard in conjunction with the integrated guide rail splinterguard. For best results, replace Splinterguard when switching between different kerf blades. Splinterguards attach easily to both the TS 55 and TS 75 Plunge Cut Saws. Includes 5 Splinterguards and 1 replacement thumbscrew.

The Festool plunge saw is at the top of a list of tools in my shop that I couldn't replace with a similar tool from another manufacturer. Making the first cut on a piece of plywood, MDF, or melamine used to cause me to put off starting a project. My older saw just didn't do the job very well, and the sheet was too awkward and heavy to cut on the table saw safely. With my Festool plunge saw, and the easy to use guide, I can make finish cuts in these materials without much effort. I have used it in situations that I would never use another saw.
