Adjusting the suction power

The PLANEX Drywall Sander can apply suction against a surface. This helps to work on ceilings and walls without fatigue. You can set the strength of the suction power on the controller on the sanding head.

  • Turning on the PLANEX

    Turn on the PLANEX Drywall Sander and then place it on the surface.

  • Increasing suction power

    Start with low suction power and increase it until you can guide the machine over the wall or ceiling with ease.

    If the suction power is set too high, this can affect how easily the machine can be guided and lead to increased wear on the abrasive.

  • Reducing suction power

    If the speed gets slower during sanding, reduce the suction power and move the controller towards the 'wall' symbol.

Note on suction power
Be mindful of the surface quality result. Suction power that is set too high removes a lot of material and can overload the machine.
