Lighting control information

Controlling the LED light of the PLANEX Drywall Sander

You can turn the LED light on or off using the button on the handle of the PLANEX Drywall Sander.

The LED light has an auto-start function that is preset at the factory:

• When the PLANEX Drywall Sander is turned on, the LED light automatically turns on.

• When the sander is turned off, the LED light always turns off automatically with the tool.

If the PLANEX Drywall Sander is connected to the Festool Work App via Bluetooth®, you have additional setting options:

• Switch the LED light on and off (similar to the button on the PLANEX Drywall Sander).

• Switch off the auto-start function of the light

• Dim the LED light

Note on lighting control

You can switch the LED light on and off using both the button on the handle of the PLANEX Drywall Sander or using the Festool Work App.

The 'auto-start' and 'dim light' functions can only be set up on the Work App. The PLANEX Drywall Sander must be connected to the Work App via Bluetooth® for this. Once you have set one of the functions, the LEDs light up green on the PLANEX Drywall Sander. Please note that the tool automatically follows the setting last defined in the Work App.

You can always switch between the factory settings for the power tool and the individually defined settings in the Festool Work App by pressing the Bluetooth® button on the handle of the PLANEX Drywall Sander. If the factory settings are activated, the green LEDs on the handle turn off.

You can reset the settings by holding down the Bluetooth® button on the PLANEX Drywall Sander for approx. 15 seconds. The green LEDs on the handle then turn off in this case as well.
