OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS


WHO CAN ENTER:

The Festool Canada Inc. (“Festool”) “Cordless Test Drive” Contest (the “Contest”) is open to all legal residents of Canada who have achieved the age of majority in their province or territory of residence by or before June 17, 2026. Eligibility is limited to customers who register (or have registered) a Festool cordless (i.e. battery-operated) tool whose three-year warranty period started on June 17, 2023, or later (an “Eligible Tool”), and subsequently submit a written online review of the Eligible Tool via the entry submission form within the Contest period.

Employees, directors, officers, representatives and agents of Festool, of any corporation or other legal entity controlled by or related to Festool, of its advertising and promotional agencies, or of suppliers of materials or services related to the Contest, and members of their immediate families and any individuals with whom they are domiciled, are not eligible to participate in the Contest.

CONTEST PERIOD:

The Contest starts on June 17, 2026, at 12:01 am ET and closes on December 31, 2026, at 11:59 pm ET, unless suspended or cancelled earlier as set out herein (the “Contest Period”). All references to time in these Official Contest Rules and Regulations are to Eastern Time. Entries will be accepted until the end of the Contest Period.

HOW TO ENTER:

Eligible participants who register a Festool cordless tool that qualifies for warranty coverage between June 17, 2026, and December 31, 2026, (an “eligible tool”) and then submit the required online review of the same eligible tool (100-200 words) at www.festoolcanada.com/testdrive during the Contest Period will receive one entry into the Contest. Note: The online review must be submitted while the registered tool remains within its warranty period.

  • Participants may submit up to three (3) entries (one per registration of an Eligible Tool and subsequent review).

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION:

On or about January 22, 2027, a panel of judges designated by Festool will evaluate all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • 50%: Explanation of how the Eligible Tool was or will be used (helpfulness and relevance to other customers)
  • 50%: Quality and clarity of the product review (writing quality and level of detail)

Each entry will be scored on a scale of 0–100 points per criterion, and the scores will be averaged to determine each entry’s final score. The ten (10) entries with the highest overall scores will be selected as potential winners. In the event of a tie, the entry with the higher score for “quality and clarity of product review” will be deemed the winner. If still tied, the entry received first (based on timestamp) will be selected. Winners are selected solely on merit; no element of chance is involved.

The ten (10) selected entrants will be notified by email no later than February 29, 2027, and must confirm acceptance of the prize within five (5) business days of notification. Selected entrants may be required to provide proof of age, jurisdiction of residence, and compliance with these Official Contest Rules and Regulations, including execution of an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, and (where legal) publicity release prior to awarding any prize. If a selected entrant fails to respond within the required timeframe, declines the prize, fails to demonstrate eligibility, or does not complete required documentation within five (5) business days, another entrant will be selected until all prizes are awarded or the pool of eligible entries is exhausted.

There are ten (10) prizes available at a total value of $70,139.04.

Each prize will be awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Festool. Prizes must be accepted as awarded, without exchange or conversion to cash, and are non-assignable. Festool reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value in the event that the specified prizes are unavailable.

GENERAL:

Festool will pay the costs of shipping the prizes to the winners. Festool is not responsible for any other costs associated with claiming or using the prizes, or for any loss, theft or misuse of the prizes. The winners are solely responsible for the reporting and payment of all taxes, if any, that may result in claiming the prizes in the Contest.

Decisions of Festool are final on all matters relating to the Contest, including matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure and fulfillment in respect to the Contest. Festool reserves the right at any time to cancel or modify the Contest or to modify or supplement these rules, without notice, in their sole discretion, subject to applicable law.

By participating in the Contest, winners consent to the use by Festool of their names and hometown for any lawful purpose without further permission or compensation, except where prohibited by law. This would include providing the name of the winners to those who request it and promoting the name of the winners in any marketing vehicles. By entering the Contest, all entrants and the winners agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Contest Rules and Regulations and consent to the use of their personal information to administer, implement and fulfill the Contest.

Festool and its affiliated companies and organizations and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) website, telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, access provider, server, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind; (ii) failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed entry information or computer transmissions or traffic or congestion on the Internet or at any website; (iii) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Festool that may cause the Contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (iv) inaccurate entry information, whether caused by equipment, programming used in the Contest, human processing or otherwise, or any combination thereof; or (v) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use or misuse of the prize, or from participation in the Contest. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by Festool. Festool takes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors. Festool is not responsible for any errors or omissions in advertising the Contest.

Festool reserves the right, in its discretion, to suspend or cancel the Contest at any time if a computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, or other technical problem of any sort corrupts the administration, security, or proper play of the Contest. Festool also reserve the right to disqualify, in their sole discretion, any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the Festool account, or who is otherwise in violation of these Official Contest Rules and Regulations. Use of computer programs and/or other automated devices to enter the Contest is prohibited.

By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to release and hold Festool, its affiliated companies and organizations, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use or misuse of the prizes, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.

If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the email address appearing on the Contest entry form submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this contest will be the contest server machine(s).

Any issues concerning the validity, interpretation or enforceability of these Official Contest Rules and Regulations, or the rights and obligations of entrants and Festool, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without giving effect to any conflict of law rules which might find otherwise.

For names of the winners or for a copy of these Official Contest Rules and Regulations, send an email request to webmaster@festoolcanada.com by March 28, 2027. No other correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants who will be notified as set forth above.

The personal data provided by you will be stored, processed and used by Festool and Festool GmbH for the execution and handling of the Contest. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lt. a) GDPR. In addition, data may be passed on to TTS Tooltechnic Systems AG & Co. KG. The legal basis for this is our company interest, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. You can object to the storage, processing and use of your data at any time by sending an email to datenschutz@tts-company.com. In this case, your data will be deleted immediately – further participation in the Contest is then unfortunately no longer possible. Furthermore, we will delete your personal data 6 months after the end of the Contest. Furthermore, your personal data will be not transferred to third parties, unless this is necessary for the purpose of processing the Contest.
